Wrong about premature rupture of membranes?

I'm 32 wks and I went into the ER and they did the PH swab because I was leaking fluid, it turned colors so they said i was in deed leaking amniotic fluid. They ordered a steroid shot, admitted me and then They then did a l exam and just told me to cough didnt check cervix or anything and when I coughed and they didnt see any gush, they sent me home. is it possible they are wrong and my water is broke and im still leaking amniotic fluid? i still have the leaking and while it hasnt sped up any my back is now killing me. Any thoughts or anyone else been in the same situation? Thanks. BTW, i'VE already called the dr back and they told me unless I have another HUGE gush, contractions start or I'm bleeding there is nothing they can do.
