How do you know whn a guy like you?

So theres this guy i like, i got one of my friends to tell him and she did then a couple days later he texts me and is like why do u like me so my friend took my phone and was like hey it...and i know why she likes you and hes like heyy 1 and they ttakedl then she had this plan she was gonna use on ths other guy but she didnt have to so we used it on him ... the plan was to tell him we were at the mall with my friends friend brian ( made up name and everything ) and it seemed that he got really jealous. after a while i deiced it would be beast to tell him its all fake then the next day i get a text and it was like even thought Brian is fake you dont like me right? and i was like why does that matter? and he was like just asking then i acted like i didn't know what he was talking about and i haven't talke to him since.....what do u think about this? does he like me or not? should i tell him i still like him or just forget about it? HELP !!
