Does anyone know anything about sugar gliders?

i have had my girls for alittle over 3 years. my lillie"bug" was my baby. but all of a sudden she died on me. i noticed she had a cut on her leg. i'm still so upset and this happened friday. i tried to get her to a vet but i didn't make it. could the cut be what killed her?? i never noticed it until friday morning. she never gave me signs of it. she would run and jump and play normally until all of a sudden she because very sick. can anyone explain this to me??? please serious answers only i'm am still very heartbroken.
