I don't have the time right now to unravel what your problem really is trying to say,as you have framed it,as it's a bit contradictory,but I'll give yer a tip . .these are called 'proportion problems' . .look em up at Dr Math,they give a good account . .and you only put an apostrophe in its when it's a shortened version of 'it is'
